FOUNTAIN
START -UP,
Per Mr. Bill Slabaugh, Department of Public Works, and the RIVER BEND
Project Engineer, had the cost of the work verified with PLAZA, R -66
Colip Electric, on May 8, to be: Labor, $1,750.00;
Materials, $850.00, or a total charge of: $2,600.00.
Mr. Brownell asked Mr. Slabaugh to give a report on why the
work was required.
Mr. Slabaugh referred to a letter from Mr. Raul Saavat of
Clyde E. Clyde E. Williams
got a letter from Colip Electric - -while Col,ip was installing
this - -and I would like to read part of that letter, because
it seems that everybody got a copy of Clyde Williams' letter,
but NOBODY got a copy of Colip's letter." "Our electrician discovered water
in the panel board for Pool I lights and his further inspection
indicated someone had failed to seal the cable openings when
the lights were removed for the winter."
Mr. Slabaugh added, "If you remember, that is the same pool "I"
that had a tree on it, from the Advisory Committee's tree decora-
tions, and it happened in a.couple of places. We weren't in-
formed that those tree lgihts were going to be set up there in
time to actually do `something about it, and we couldn't make
the proper inspection -- though I am not blameless there - -I could .
probably have gone to the Advisory meetings, etc. At any rate,
when your consultant, Raul Salvat from Clyde E. Williams, got
that information, he wrote this letter that indicated that certain
- 21 -
