Main St. <br />Maradik/Dorau <br />Construction <br />Occupancy <br />July 31, 2020 <br />(Barnes and <br />Co., Inc. <br />Permit <br />Thornburg Building) <br />APPROVAL OF REVOCABLE PERMIT FOR ENCROACHMENT — GREYHOUND LINES <br />INC. <br />Mr. Gilot stated an application for an Encroachment and Revocable Permit has been received <br />from Greyhound Lines, Inc., 1401 S. Lafayette Blvd., South Bend, IN for the purpose of <br />allowing two (2) loading and unloading signs to be placed in the right-of-way at 100 W. South <br />Street at the bump -out. The encroachment shall remain in the right of way until the time as the <br />Board of Public Works of the City, of South Bend shall determine that such encroachment is in <br />any way impairing or interfering with the highway or with the free and same flow of traffic. <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Dorau and carried, the Revocable Permit <br />was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF REVOCABLE PERMIT FOR ENCROACHMENT — CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND COMMUNITY INVESTMENT DEPARTMENT <br />Mr. Gilot stated an application for an Encroachment and Revocable Permit has been received <br />from the Department of Community Investment for the purpose of placing an Indiana State <br />Historical Marker sign in the right-of-way at 113 S. Lafayette Blvd. in front of the Lafayette <br />Building to commemorate the law offices of Chester and Elizbeth Allen, once contained within <br />the building. The encroachment shall remain in the right of way until the time as the Board of <br />Public Works of the City of South Bend shall determine that such encroachment is in any way <br />impairing or interfering with the highway or with the free and same flow of traffic. Upon a <br />motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Dorau and carried, the Revocable Permit was <br />approved. <br />TABLE REVOCABLE PERMIT FOR ENCROACHMENT — SOUTH BEND PUBLIC <br />TRANSPORTATION CORPORATION (TRANSPO) <br />Mr. Gilot stated an application for an Encroachment and Revocable Permit has been received <br />from the South Bend Public Transportation Corporation, 1401 S. Lafayette Blvd. South Bend, IN <br />for the installation of bus shelters, garbage cans, and bike racks at ten (10) various locations in <br />the right-of-way. Ms. Maradik requested this be tabled, noting Community Investment met with <br />TRANSPO and all of the locations are being changed. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. <br />Maradik, seconded by Ms. Dorau and carried, the Revocable Permit application was tabled. <br />DENY TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Dorau and carried, the following traffic <br />control device requests were denied: <br />NEW INSTALLATION: Handicapped Accessible Parking Space Sign <br />LOCATION: 926 W Bryan St. <br />REMARKS: All criteria have not been met <br />NEW INSTALLATION: Residential Parking by Permit Only with Tow -Away <br />Placard <br />LOCATION: Triangle Neighborhood: Burns Ave., Duey St., Georgiana <br />Ave., Napoleon Blvd., and Quigley Pl. <br />REMARKS: All criteria have not been met <br />APPROVE CONSENTS TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO <br />REMONSTRATE <br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of the following Consents to Annexation and <br />Waivers of Right to Remonstrate. The Consents indicate that in consideration for permission to <br />tap into public water/sanitary sewer system of the City, to provide water/sanitary sewer service <br />to the below referenced properties, the applicants waive and release any and all rights to <br />1 <br />1 <br />u <br />
