7. PROGRESS REPORTS (Cont'd <br />.... ._. ..... <br />2) River Bend Plaza Schedule Report <br />Mr. Louis N. Wilcox, Director of the River Bend <br />Plaza, presented a check, in amount of $5,000 <br />that had been promised as partial payment in <br />December by Mr. Karl King, the former President <br />of the Downtown South Bend Council. The Re- <br />development Commission had entered into an <br />Agreement with the River Bend Plaza Foundation, <br />Inc. (Commission meeting of October 4, 1974), <br />in an amount not to exceed $30,000 (per Exhibit <br />"A "), to be paid in three equal installments each <br />on July 1, 1975, 1976 and 1977. <br />The check was presented on behalf of the River <br />Bend plaza Advisory Committee and the diligence <br />the Downtown South Bend Council played to present <br />this check of partial payment of the first install- <br />ment covering the Christmas decorations. This is <br />part of the first $10,000 obligation. <br />Mr. C. Wayne Brownell, Acting Deputy Director, <br />introduced Mr. Hubert Getzinger, the new President <br />of the Downtown South Bend Council who was in the <br />audience. <br />The activities report for the River Bend Plaza <br />were in the Commissioners packets and news media. <br />Mr. Wilcox stated that the Plaza in the eyes of <br />the public is still the place to be and hopes-it <br />will continue. <br />Letter of Resignation: <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA <br />SCHEDULE REPORT, <br />R -66 <br />Letter of resignation was submitted by Ms. Kathleen LETTER OF RESIGNA- <br />P.
