7. ICOMMUNICATIONS (Cont'd)
Ms. Janice Patton advised no probable cause was found
to substantiate the allegation of race discrimination
in this case, and that they apologize'for the long
delay in this matter and appreciate the voluntary
cooperation given by Mr. Lennon and his staff.
.... .....................
e. HUD letter dated AUgust'21, 1974: This letter, over
the signature of Mr. Daniel B. Bowman, Acting Direc-
tor, Operations Division concurs in our request to re-
ceive authorization to destroy the paper files of
Projects Indiana R -56, E -3 and E -5, as these records
are now all microfilmed.
f. HUD letter dated August 23, 1974: This letter, over
the signature of Mr. Paul J. Topmiller, Acting Assis-
tant Director, Technical Services Branch advises
Wage Rate Decision currently in effect, including
Modification No. 1, is dated May 3, 1974 - -AQ -3136
(Heavy & Highway).
Mr. Lennon advised this involves the Green Belt and
the presentation given in the prior session (with
public present) by Lawson Associates on the final
design work on the Plaza Parkway (Block 6), which
is on the Agenda, under "New Business, 9d" for dis-
cussion.
g. HUD letter dated August 26, 1974: This letter, over
the signature of Mr. Daniel E. Bowman, Acting Director
of Operations, advises the Certificate of Cost of
Non -Cash Local Grant -in -Aid for the Merry Avenue
Renewal Area Project and Fire Station, to Project
Indiana A -10, are not eligible. Their reasoning
is that the two small areas seem to receive less
than 10% of these supporting facilities direct bene-
fit and that no non -cash grant -in -aid credit is ac-
ceptable for the facility in the 24 -month action
year.
Mr. Lennon advised that we will request HUD to re-
view this again as we believe we should receive
credit for that area, even though it is a small
amount.
AUTHORIZATION
RECEIVED ON
RECORDS PERTAIN-
ING TO PROJECTS
INDIANA R -56, E -3
& E -5
WAGE RATE DECISION,
PLAZA PARKWAY,
R -66
NON -CASH LOCAL
GRANT -IN -AID
FOR MERRY AVENUE
RENEWAL AND FIRE
STATION TO PROJECT
INDIANA A -10
h.
