There is no registration fee. Mr. . Jay Nimtz, President, Board of Trustees, said that Sout hold will be sending some of the board members to this work hop /conference. This will be national in scope and the conf rence speakers are excellent. He suggested Mr. Lennon also attend this session if at all possible. The workshop will explore methods for adapting railroad stations to contemporary needs in communities with diminished or defunct rail service so that the buildings can remain a useful part of America's architectural heritage. The purpose of the workshop is to gather information and view on some of the available legal and finavicial techniques and networks of alliances for rehabilitating stations. This information is to be incorporated in a workbook that will be published in the fall for wide distribution: Mr. Wade inquired whether AMTRAK has changed their schedule or whet er there is still a chance of getting the Boston -New York passenger run through South Bend. Mr. Lennon advised Mr. John Kage is working on this and that we will have an answer to the Commission on this subject. On M . Nimtz's recommendation, motion was made by Mr. Wiggins for pproval of two staff members to attend the above workshop, seco ded by Mr. Wade and unanimously carried. h. Advisory Committee Appointment for Southeast Side: Mayor Jerry J. Miller appointed Reverend Frank Senn and Miss Gloria Stokes as members of the Advisory Committee for the Sout east Side Neighborhood Development Program to represent the froject area residents. These are two residents from the area and the staff had recommended these two be named, and Comm Lblic sion concurrence was requested prior to the Mayor making the announcement.
