5.
care
one -
one-
will
and
work
OLD BUSINESS (Cont'd)
i with two thicknesses of clear plexiglass, approximately
ialf inch thick. The raised letter would protrude about
quarter inch through the routed aluminum face. This method
allow the illuminated letter to slightly glow at the edges
will offer better definition and readability. The sign-
lettering is to be fabricated and installed by the North
ican Sign Company.
The design suggestion was reviewed and approved by the Sign
Review Committee members and Commission consideration and ap-
proval was requested.
Mr. Wiggins inquired if there could be any deviation on this
from people who have established their name as a logo, and
Mr. 3auer advised they could not. All the signs would be
unif rm and only the names of the business could be used and
no other wordage (the actual business name only). There are
individual signs not reflected underneath the canopies per-
pendicular to the sidewalks which would be underneath the
canopy and would not be reflected underneath the sign. Mr.
Wiggins said he was concerned about identification - -a signa-
tory type.
On tion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Rev. Williams and unani-
mously carried, the canopy sign design, as noted above and
recommended by the Sign Review Committee was approved.
6. ANEW BUSINESS
a.
