<br />a. HUD letter dated May 6, 1974-0 This letter, over the EXPERIMENTAL
<br />signature of Mr. K. J. Alles, Director, Housing Research, to HOUSING ALLOWANCE
<br />Mayor Jerry J. Miller, confirms the decision between South PROGRAM
<br />Bend officials and HUD /Rand to move forward with the Experi-
<br />mental Housing Allowance Program in the City of South Bend.
<br />HUD and Rand look forward to working with Mayor Miller, repre-
<br />sentatives and other local officials in this very worthy effort.
<br />b. HUD letter dated May 6, 1974: This letter, over the RELOCATION COSTS,
<br />signature of Mr. Thomas P. McNally, Area Counsel, relates to E -3 AMENDATORY
<br />our Contract Indiana E- 3(G)'s Third Amendatory Contract for CONTRACT
<br />the pertinent Code Enforcement Program. Per Section 6 of the
<br />Contract, relocation costs made on account of displacement which
<br />occurred before July 1, 1972 are 100 reimbursable, but reloca-
<br />tion costs made on account of displacement occurring on or after
<br />July 1, 1972 are incorporated into the program cost. Only two-
<br />thirds of the program cost is paid for by the Federal Government,
<br />and in effect recent relocation costs are not 100% reimbursable.
<br />c. HUD letter dated May 6, 1974: This letter, over the NEIGHBORHOOD
<br />sign ture of Mr. James E. Armstrong, Area Director, requests DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM,
<br />the Dresence of the Executive Director at a meeting to be held A -10
<br />in I dianapolis to discuss the funding of the Neighborhood
<br />Development Program.
<br />Mr. �ennon advised further discussion on this will be under
<br />"New Business, 6f, Resolution No. 485, shown on the Agenda.
<br />Downtown Project, R -66, estimated at $12 Million.
<br />Being a public facility, we are claiming 25% of the total .eli-
<br />gibi ity cost as approved on the latest Form HUD 6200, dated
<br />May 25, 1973. This percentage is approved which equals an
<br />amoulit of $3,769,493.
