Recent rain has caused some difficulties. Block <br />th of Western is progressing faster. <br />President Helmen said the canopies are attractive. <br />2) River Bend Plaza Schedule: Mr. Charles F. Lennon, RIVER BEND PLAZA <br />Jr. zdvised we are proceeding with the schedule for the Festival SCHEDULE DISCUSSION <br />'74 week involving widespread community participation in the <br />official opening and dedication events during the week of June <br />30 t rough July 6, 1974. The Commissioners received copies of <br />the rochures, River Bend buttons and bumper stickers, and our <br />Plaz Office will be distributing these. <br />The Bicentennial Village is to be located on Michigan Street <br />betwe n Jefferson and Colfax, June 8th through Labor Day, and <br />be un er the direction of Mrs. Gwen Stiver, as Executive Chair- <br />man. <br />Mrs. Sandy Greenhut outlined the program for the Festival '74, <br />on July 4, 1974. President Helmen thanked Mrs. Greenhut for <br />a won erful report. <br />3) River Bend Plaza Supergraphic Competition: The <br />site s the pavement of Michigan Street between Jefferson <br />and Washington, and between Washington and Colfax, with the <br />Michigan-Washington intersection excluded. The competition <br />is open to artists living within a 50 -mile radius of South <br />Bend. The design is limited to not more than six of the <br />hues n display.
