4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />a HUD letter dated December 3; 1973: This letter, <br />over he signature o r. aina a, Acting Director, <br />Operations Division, advised of the cancellation of all <br />Section 312 loan applications in Indiana Projects E -3, <br />E -5 a d R -57. <br />Mr. Lennon advised HUD had requested we submit these <br />appli ations pending further funding. In July we had <br />been zdvised that no funds were available. This letter <br />now serves as official notification of the cancellation <br />with the return of all 6230 -C HUD forms. <br />b. HUD letter dated December 18, 1973: This letter, <br />over the signature of Mr. Daniel B. owman, Assistant <br />Director, Technical Services Branch, requests the,execu <br />tion of the Semi- Annual Labor Standards Enforcement Report <br />for the period of July 1, 1973 through December 31, 1973, <br />for submission no later than January 2, 1974. <br />Mr. Zank Alford is responsible for the preparation of <br />the port. <br />c. HUD letter dated December 18, 1973: This letter, <br />over the signature of Mr. DaMel B. Bowman, Assistant <br />Director, Technical Services Branch, advised the Wage <br />Rate Decision enclosed expires March 25, 1974. This <br />covers Demolition Contract No. 1, awarded to Julius O'Neal <br />Trucking Company, in the last Commission meeting, for <br />Project A -10, MN #1 and SE #1. <br />If work starts on or before March 25, 1974, the wage deci- <br />sion will be considered valid and in effect for the dura- <br />tion of this project. <br />d. HUD letter dated December 18, 1973: This letter, <br />over t e signature of Mr. Daniel B. Bowman, Assistant <br />Direct r, Technical Services Branch, advised the Wage Rate <br />Decisi n enclosed expires March 19, 1974. This covers <br />reside tial construction in the Model Cities, E -6 Project. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Rev. Williams and <br />unanim usly carried, the above letters are received and <br />placed on file. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />a. Notice of Claim: A Notice of Claim against the <br />City o South Bend was received in the Department of Law <br />on Dec tuber 11, 1973, and a copy sent to us by City <br />Attorn y, James A.
