West, <br />Building Commissioner <br />G ntlemen: <br />Tie Hickey Company is currently developing the final working <br />d awings and specifications for the IBM Building to be <br />constructed at 215 South St. Joseph Street. In the develop - <br />m nt of the drawings, it became a structural requirement <br />t design the exterior footings in such a way that they <br />will extend three (3) feet past the property line. These <br />footings will be located seven (7) feet below grade level. <br />At the completion of the construction, the sidewalk will be <br />replaced at its original location. No inconvenience or <br />safety hazard to the general public will be caused by this <br />request nor do the footings interfere with the right-of-way <br />.of any public underground utilities. <br />A cording to the BOCA Code, the footings may only extend <br />o e (1) foot past the property line.
