7. PROGRESS REPORTS (Cont'd <br />R -57: Workload five families. <br />Merry Avenue: One family remains on workload. Relocation <br />Officer assigned specifically to assist family to <br />secure adequate relocation. <br />Model Cities Extended Services: Workload. 18 families. <br />Three referrals received from Substandard this <br />month; one family moved on own into substandard <br />dwelling. <br />City- ide: Workload 34 families. Five referrals received <br />from Substandard Division this month. Eight fami- <br />lies moved. <br />8) Other Rehabilitation: In response to President <br />Helmen's question regarding Mr. Charles Howell's request <br />to purchase and rehabilitate the property at 615 North <br />Eddy Street, Mr. Lennon advised this property was demolished <br />the following Monday morning, as scheduled, by the Board <br />of Works in its award for the demolition as a substandard <br />struct re. This would have cost approximately $12,000 to <br />rehabilitate to have the structure meet code requirements. <br />Mr. Howell felt he could do it for $5,000. It was not our <br />buildi g. Mr. Howell would have had to negotiate with the <br />owners. He should have negotiated with the owners prior. <br />The Bo rd had deemed the structure substandard. <br />8.
