We have appreciated being able to be of service to you in the past and hope to be afforded the opportunity to provide you with our services for this project. UNDERSTANDING OF THE ASSIGNMENT The City of South Bend is looking to convert city -owned lighting fixtures on Dylan Drive and Parkland Drive to LED. This project is to also include the design of additional streetlights on Chet Waggoner Court. JPR is to utilize existing GIS data to develop a base plan from which to prepare the necessary construction documents and specifications. The Consultant is to coordinate the work with AEP for the anticipated electrical service step down conversion. New Tesco electrical service pointes are to be a part of this project. There are to be two different light fixtures for this project, which will include a shoe -box style light to be installed on the light poles in the southern half of Dylan Street and on Parkland (14 total light fixtures), and LED upgrade kits to be installed in the existing light fixtures along the northern half of Dylan Drive (22 total light fixtures). New lights that match the lights along the northern portion of Dylan Drive are to be used for Chet Waggoner Court. Per conversations with the City, it is understood that new wiring will be required for this proposed work as the existing wiring is older and needs to be replaced. It is anticipated that, based on the anticipated budget, this project will be sent out as a quote package. SCOPE OF SERVICES Task 1 .Base Plan Development, 1. JPR will utilize existing GIS data and shapefiles to prepare a base plan from which the Construction Documents and Special Provisions will be prepared. 2. JPR will obtain accurate locations of the electrical service points and lights poles and fixtures by GPS coordinated obtained by our survey crew. All data points will in imported into the base plans.
