PROGRESS REPORTS (Cont'd <br />b E -6 Update: <br />Mr. Lennon advised we are waiting for a response <br />from the Department of Housing and Urban Develop - <br />ment on uniform inspection and reporting mechanisms. <br />This.will allow us not to get into the same situa- <br />tion as occurring in the LaSalle Park Project. <br />When we get the report and review of the program <br />from HUD, we will go in Model Cities E -6 area. <br />c R -57 Project - LaSalle Park Complaint Procedure: <br />Mr. Lennon advised we believe we can handle all but <br />five (5) of these within house. <br />Mr. Charles Howell, President, Builder's United Enter- <br />prises, Inc. responded to questions from the Commis- <br />sion. <br />E -6 UPDATE <br />R -57 PROJECT - <br />LASALLE PARK COMPLAINT <br />PROCEDURE <br />d A -10 Update: A -10 UPDATE <br />In the Southeast side, we are continuing to meet <br />with the potential developers for the elderly high - <br />rise units, and in Model Cities, Ed Bauer is develop - <br />ing an estimate on the three -bay fire station. <br />ej Future Redevelopment Areas: <br />FUTURE REDEVELOPMENT <br />AREAS <br />Mr. Lennon, using the flip chart and maps, discussed <br />in general terms the following eight (8) areas for <br />future redevelopment consideration: <br />1) East side of River (River Bank to Hill Street). <br />2) Western Avenue (Two blocks on Chain and five <br />blocks on Western, plus Chapin to Mall). <br />3) Southeast side (Downtown area to railroad tracks) <br />to River. <br />4) Southeast side (Expanded A -10). <br />5) Update Model Cities Master Land Use Plan. <br />6) Harter Heights. <br />7) Sancome Street area. <br />8) Morningside area (In annexation). <br />- 14 - <br />
