Demolition and Site Clearance Contract No. 35: <br />Commission authorization was requested to advertise this <br />contrac for demolition of the following: <br />Parcel Nos. Site Address <br />-3 Old Water Works Garage Building, <br />Artesian Avenue and East Washington. <br />7-4 Old School Administration Building <br />226 South St. Joseph & bldg. at rear. <br />Provisi ns of the HUD guidelines are that land is to be <br />cleared before turning it over to the Civic Center Authority. <br />Mrs. Janet S. Allen questioned why we were taking bids on the <br />demolition of the Old School Administration Building when <br />she was under the impression the building was to be preserved. <br />Mr. Lennon advised that the Civic Center Architects had changed <br />their minds and are requesting site clearance as soon as possible. <br />Mr. Miller concurred in the above statement. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Wade and unanimously <br />carried the advertising was approved for the Demolition and <br />Site Clearance Contract No. 35.
