NEW BUSINESS (Cont'd On motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr. Wiggins and unani- mousl.y carried, the above Commercial Lease was authorized. k 1973 Summer Institute on Social Gerontology: Mr. SUMMER INSTITUTE ON Lennop requested authorization for one staff member, Mr. SOCIAL GERONTOLOGY Antho y Germano, architect on staff who will be working as th Project Coordinator in the Southeast side, to at- tend the 1973 Summer Institute on Social Gerontology, at the University of Michigan Campus, Ann Arbor, Michigan. This s a workshop being held July 23 to August 3, 1973, on the neighborhood approach for delivery of housing and related services to the elderly. This seminar should prove of great value to the present and future develop- ment of programs dealing with Senior Citizens, and, speci- fically, this should help with the present NDP A -10 Program, concerning the Housing Project for the elderly. The study is in working with the elderly citizens and the development of service needs, how to architecturally de- sign buildings and develop a neighborhood plan, and future trends in neighborhood development. On motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr. Wiggins and unani- mously carried, Mr. Germano is authorized to attend the above Summerl Institute on Social Gerontology. 1. Rehabilitation Grant: Approval was requested of one REHABILITATION GRANT (1) Re a ilitation Grant, for the Northeast Code Enforcement APPROVED, PARCEL NO. Project, E -3, for Parcel No. 21 -2, located at 434 East Howard 21 -2, E -3 Street, in amount of $3,262.00. On motion by Rev.
