4. <br />i <br />COMMUNICATIONS (Cont'd) <br />relocation reports submitted by our office for the <br />-iod ending March 30, 1973 were returned, with HUD <br />;ice CPM 73 -3, dated January 18, 1973, clarifying the <br />relocation reporting requirements. <br />Mr. Lennon advised the Commission that we will comply with <br />the new requirements for these reports. <br />c. HUD letter dated May 24, 1973: This letter, over <br />the signature of Mr. Choice Edwards, Acting Director, ad- <br />vised HUD has allocated an additional $57,341 grant to <br />assist in financing the Northeast Code Enforcement Project <br />Indiana E -3. A proposed contract, to be executed, will be <br />forwarded at a later date, stating the terms and conditions <br />un er which the allocated funds will be made available. <br />HUE, approval of this budget (HUD -6171) authorizes our staff <br />to incur costs in conformity with the budget and contract <br />from the date of this letter. <br />d. HUD letter dated May 24, 1973: This letter, over <br />the signature of Mr. Choice Edwards, Acting Director, ad- <br />vised HUD has allocated an additional $52,639 grant to <br />assist in financing the Model Cities East Code Enforcement <br />Project Indiana E -5. A proposed contract on this project <br />also will be forwarded at a later date, to be executed, <br />stating the terms and conditions under which the allocated <br />funds will be made available. <br />HUD approval of this budget (HUD -6171) authorizes our staff <br />to incur costs in conformity with the budget and contract <br />froO the date of this letter. <br />The South Bend Redevelopment Commission issued a Press Re- <br />lea e, attached to the official minutes, on Items 4c and <br />4d. <br />$57,341.00 GRANT <br />ALLOCATED FOR <br />E -3 PROJECT <br />$52,639.00 GRANT <br />ALLOCATED FOR <br />E -5 PROJECT <br />e. HUD letter dated May 25, 1973: This letter, over $2 MILLION DOLLARS <br />the signature of Mr. Choice Edwards, Acting Director, ad- ALLOCATED FOR DOWNTOWN <br />vis d HUD has approved the Amendatory Application for Loan RENEWAL PROJECT, R -66 <br />and Grant, R -66 Project, and have authorized a revised allo- <br />cation of funds: <br />Revised Project Temporary Loan $ 23,248,474 <br />Revised Capital Grant: 14,521,592 <br />The conditions were outlined which must be met prior to exe- <br />cut on of the Loan and Grant Contract. Executed HUD Forms <br />620 , Project Cost Estimate and Financing Plan, and 6220, <br />Project Expenditures Budget, were enclosed containing the ac- <br />cep ed cost estimates and financing plans, and the approved <br />bud et. <br />- 5 - <br />
