HUD letter dated April 2, 1973: This letter, over <br />the signature of Mr. Stephen J. Havens, Director, Opera- <br />tioris Division, approves $72,629.38, as a local grant -in- <br />aid for Projects Indiana E -3 and E -5. This amount repre- <br />sents the Model Cities share of training costs for the <br />fin ncial advisors and code enforcement inspectors. <br />Mr. Lennon advised this amount is entirely paid by Model <br />Cit es and is now an eligible cost for credit under these <br />two projects. <br />On otion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Wade and unani- <br />mou ly carried, the letter is to be received and placed <br />on ile. <br />5. Phase III, Pedestrian Way Contracts, R -66: Mr. <br />Lennon advised this is information for the Public: Re- <br />evaluation by the Commissioners, per Commission recommenda- <br />tior and staff recommendation on April 6, recommending in- <br />stead of two contracts to be awarded for the Pedestrian <br />Way we have two additional concepts: for concrete (a proxi- <br />mat ly $100,000) and demolition (approximately $85,000 be <br />pulled out to allow small and minority contractors <br />- 4 - <br />LOCAL GRANT -IN -AID <br />APPROVED, E -3 & E -5 <br />PHASE III, PEDESTRIAN <br />WAY CONTRACTS, R -66 <br />
