One of center show window back- <br />grounds has been eliminated, giving sidewalk traffic a full <br />view of in -store activity. <br />Store fixture work started at "La Cravatte ", tie haberdashery. <br />A new business venture to be located at 104 West Wayne Street. <br />A long term lease has also been signed to occupy approximate- <br />ly 1850 square feet of retail space at 305 South Michigan <br />Street address (adjacent to Avon Theatre). <br />Landscape grading work begun at United States Postal faci- <br />lity and the Royal Inns Motel nearby. <br />Most of Downtown business community is anxiously awaiting the <br />mid -April announcement by private investor group who will <br />develop the Colfax- Michigan - Washington Building complex. We <br />hope that this will serve as the catalyst to spur the project <br />and surrounding areas to the highest potential. <br />d.
