<br />y, in his letter dated April 3, 1973, advised the
<br />of Library Trustees of the South Bend Community
<br />Corporation, in their Meeting of April 2, 1973,
<br />d a resolution agreeing to enter into a contract
<br />chase of Disposition Parcel No. 8 -17, of the Down -
<br />rban Renewal Project, Indiana R -66. The Resolution
<br />r resolved that said purchase will be in accordance
<br />he Downtown Urban Renewal Plan, Indiana R -66, provid-
<br />r development by the Public Library by landscaping
<br />intaining of this parcel for five (5) years and pro -
<br />that construction of an additional library facility
<br />d parcel shall be started and completed within seven
<br />ars from the date of conveyance.
<br />On motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr. Wade and unani-
<br />mously carried, authorization to enter into a contract
<br />with South Bend Community School Corporation was approved,
<br />subject to Legal Counsel approval.
<br />m. Extension of Time, Contracts A and B Phase II -B:
<br />Auth rization was requested for extension of time for
<br />Arco Engineering Construction Corporation, On Phase II -B,
<br />Cont acts A and B, to May 25, 1973, as recommended by
<br />ClydE E. Williams & Associates, Inc., Engineering Consultants,
<br />R -66 Request is per letter from Arco dated January 3, 1973.
<br />Target date for the opening of St. Joseph Street is April
<br />16--weather permitting.
<br />On motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr. Wade and unani-
<br />mous y carried, extension of time for Contracts A and B,
<br />Phas II -B, with Arco Engineering Construction Corporation,
<br />was Ipproved to: May 25, 1973, R -66.
<br />n. Change Order No. 1 to Phase II -C Contract: Ap-
<br />proval of Change Order No. 1 to Phase II -C Contract was
<br />requested, with Howell Construction Co., Inc., to add a
<br />sect on of 24" storm sewers on Wayne Street from Alley
<br />to Main Street, for an increase in contract price in amount
<br />of $ ,018.08, and increase in time of ten (10) days, R -66.
<br />City Engineer, Mr. William Richardson, requested we place
<br />the 4" storm sewers in and not tear up the streets twice
<br />and disrupt traffic. This is for 24" street inlets and
<br />manholes. The price is in line.
<br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Wade and unani-
<br />mous y carried, Change Order No. 1 to Phase II -C Contract
<br />was approved, for an increase in contract price of $9,018.08,
<br />and change in time for completion of contract by ten (10)
<br />calendar days.
