Reuse Appraisal Contracts: Authorization was requested REUSE APPRAISAL to negotiate and enter into contracts with John G. Pence Associ- CONTRACTS AUTHORIZE ates Inc., in amount of $200.00 plus travelling expenses, and R -66 Larr Smith & Company, Inc., in total amount of $300.00, for re- use #ppraisals on Disposition Parcel No. 1 -1, R -66. Mr. Wiggins made the above motion, seconded by Mr. Chenney, and unan mously carried. Councilman Walter T. Kopcznski was present, and the Chair made the introductions. Change Order No. 10 to Demolition and Site Clearance Contract No. 5: This Change Order is with Woodruff Construc- tion Co., Inc., for the deletion of all structures which are shown on the contract as not demolished and for which a Notice to P oceed was not issued, with a decrease in contract price of $M10.00, R -57, and the contract is being terminated. Mr. 31abaugh said last year we let Contract No. 6, which picked up all the structures for demolition which were avail- able in this project. Woodruff requested his 10% retention, whici we sent to him. We want to cancel the rest of Contract No. 5 to write off the R -57 Project. This is part of closing out he Project. On m tion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney and unani- mously carried, Change Order No. 10 to Demolition and Site Clearance Contract No. 5 was approved, decreasing the contract price in amount of $3,310.00, and terminating the contract. Site Improvement Contract "I ", R -57: Permission to advertise this Contract for site improvements in certain muck area to bring curbs, streets and sidewalks back to original grad s of construction and to restore drainage in accordance with original plans and specifications was requested. This is 6r clean -up work - -also to close out R -57 Project. Mr. 31abaugh said we did not take out the muck to save money as it was a calculated risk. The curbs and sidewalks have drop )ed. We know where the muck areas are and can repave these. This would be for the removal of sidewalks and curbs that have sunk, removal of unstable material below these and bringing the curb line and sidewalks up to grade. We were resp nsible for not taking out all the muck. It is our ob- ligation to bring it up to grade. The Engineer's Estimate is $10,600, which includes two manholes, two inlets, quite a bit Df repaving, sidewalks and curbs. - 7 - CHANGE ORDER NO. 10 TO CONTRACT NO. 5 APPROVED, R -57 ADVERTISING APPROVE FOR SITE IMPROVEMEN CONTRACT "I", R -57
