A.M. all members present. <br />Remonstrance received read and placed on file remonstrating against pavement on <br />Webster Street North from Ford street. <br />Petition and plans of the Indiana & Michigan Electric Co, new under ground distric <br />refered to the Board by the City Council,the same refered to the City Engineer . <br />In the matter of the Union Aspholt Co. Claim for the amount of $2048.24 due to <br />them on the South Main and west Jefferson Pavement the same not allowed. <br />Contractors Excavation Bonds Lewis H. Webster and William Downes approved. <br />Partial Estimate for the Brick pavement improvement on Prairie Avenue allowed to <br />Harry N. Barnes for the sun of-----------------------------$2341.00 <br />Contract signed and bond approved of Hugh. Anderson Grade,Curb and Walk on Camp au St, <br />/Contract signed and Bond Approved bf._Jlarry--N it;Barnes for pavement on First Alley West <br />Michigan Street between Bronson and Tutt Streets. <br />.Contract entered into between the South Bend and Logansport Tract*on Co. approved <br />and placed on file. <br />✓ Contract for the East Madison Street Pipe Sewer improvement awarded to Hoban & Roach <br />IMPROVEMENT -RESOLUTION 40.33 <br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend Indiana. <br />That it is -desired and deemed necessary to make the following described public <br />improvements in the said City as authorized by the following numbered improvement <br />Resolution ,adopted.by said Board on the 12th. day of July 1910. <br />Resolved that an improvement be made of the kind,size,location and terminal points <br />as follois; Improve The First Alley Went of Main Street from Division Street to Monroe <br />Street,by grading and paving the roadway also grading the roadway of intersecting <br />and entering alleys lying within said portion of said alley not included in the _ <br />roadway to be improved. With Aspholt,Bithlithic,Brick or'Creosoted Wooden Block <br />laid sin a five inch Portland Cement concrete Gravilfoundation, from property line' <br />to property line, placing the necessary Marginal Curb Cement Curb,and construction <br />of the necessary Storm -Water inlets all sa shown on the plans,and in accordance_ <br />with the profiles detail plans and specifications on file ill'the office of the 6&1d <br />Board and all work in the making of said public improvement must be done in accordance <br />therewith. Said Improvement shall b-e known and designated as THE FIRST ALLEY WEST <br />OF MAIN STREET BETWEEN DIVISION STREET AND MONROE STREET -PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENT N0.33 <br />Said Board has fixed the 5th. day of August 1910 as a date upon which remonstrances <br />may be filed or heard by persons interested or affected by said public improvements <br />and on said day at 7-15 P.M. said Board will at its said office hear and consider <br />any remonstrators and persons interested or whose property is affected by said public <br />improvement and will -decide whether the benefits that will accrue to t.!e property , <br />abutting and adjacent to the proposed improvements and to said City,Will be equal <br />to or exceed the estimated cost of the proposed improvements,as estimated by the City <br />Civil Engineer. A Bond or Bonds to be issued to the contractor in payment of. such <br />work where the property owner signs waiver required,according to law, <br />Which said Bonds shall bear interest at the rate of six percent per. annum ,payable <br />as provided by law. <br />
