4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />HUD letter dated January 5, 1973: This letter <br />over the signature of'Mr. Keith W. Lerch, Attorney Ad- <br />visor, advised the area office produced an incorrect <br />allocation order and an incorrect figure was placed in <br />Section A of the proposed Eighth Amendment of Contract <br />Ind. R- 57(LG). The area office is now producing a cor- <br />rect d allocation order by which HUD will become author- <br />ized to offer our agency a loan of $4,663,884.00. <br />A re ised page was enclosed with the letter for Commission <br />appr val and execution. As soon as authorization for the <br />incr ased loan is received, the counterparts will be <br />Fede ally executed and processed. <br />(Thi item is on the Agenda, under 6a, Resolution No. <br />435 for Commission action.) <br />Moti n was made by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Rev. Hans, Director, ad- <br />vises on requests for an increase in mortgage amount for <br />FHA insured multi - family projects after projects have been <br />buill. and prior to cost certification and final endorsement, <br />it his never been the policy of HUD -FHA to treat a firm <br />comm tment as a renegotiable contract. All mortgagees and <br />sponsors must be fully aware there will be no increase in <br />mort age amounts regardless of the cost of construction <br />showt at time of cost.certif.ication. <br />Requosts for increases of this type will be denied. <br />Moti n was made by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Rev.
