<br />E. Alley, sometimes known as Hibbard Court, between
<br />Washington Street and Jefferson Boulevard, run-
<br />ning East from Michigan. Street to.the West line
<br />of the North -South alley between Michigan and
<br />St. Joseph Streets, a distance of one hundred
<br />sixty -five (165) feet.
<br />Lots affected by vacations are: 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30,
<br />31, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44,
<br />45 a �2,
<br />d 46 of the Original Plat of South Bend, Indiana.
<br />Mr. Slabaugh said the deadline that would be needed to
<br />make the necessary legal advertisements is February 10 and
<br />17, and then go before the Area Plan Commission on February
<br />20 for public hearing on the two alleys.
<br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Wade and unani-
<br />mously carried, authorization to proceed for the vacation
<br />of the alleys, designated as Alleys V and B, known as
<br />Hibbard Court, per vacation letter, was approved.
<br />il. Change Order No. 2 to Contracts AFB_,_ C and D, E -3:
<br />Mr. Slabaugh said Cole Associates.; Inc. submitted plans
<br />they made for changes on our plans for 6" to 9" exposed
<br />curb face rather than the 3" to 9" curb in some places.
<br />The City Engineer's office requested this item be removed
<br />and changed. In order to change this, we needed saw cuts
<br />and d op existing driveaways to meet the curb and special
<br />fill, on several streets in the Northeast Code Enforcement
<br />Area, E -3.
<br />This s an increase in contract amount of $6,940.80, with
<br />Rieth Riley Construction Company, Inc., with:
<br />E cavation (216,589 sq. ft.) $ 6,349.80
<br />Saw Cutting Driveaways (197 lineal ft. 591.00
<br />Total increase $ 6,940.80
<br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Wade and unani-
<br />mously carried, Change Order No. 2 to Contracts A, B, C
<br />and D in E -3 Project, was approved for an increase in
<br />contract amount of $6,940.80, with Rieth -Riley Construc-
<br />tion ComDanv.
