f. �EW BUSINESS (Cont'd <br />HUD may not concur with a bid this low. Their comple- <br />tion time of the work is ninety (90) days, with penalty <br />of $50.00 per day for each day thereafter, which is <br />specified in our Notices to Proceed. Their financial <br />statement shows them financially sound, owing no one. <br />On mo ion by Rev. Williams, seconded by Mr. Wiggins, <br />Demolition Contract No. 31 was awarded to the low bidder, <br />Mille Construction Co., in bid amount of $19,750.00 <br />subje t to HUD concurrence, and if HUD will not approve <br />Mille Construction Co., the contract is to be awarded to <br />the second lowest bidder, Midwest Demolition Corporation, <br />in bid amount of $34,900.00 - -the President and Secretary <br />being authorized to enter into a contract with the success- <br />ful b dder, subject to our Legal Counsel approval. Motion <br />unanir.iously carried. <br />c. Demolition Contract No. 1: Authorization to <br />adver ise for this contract was received in Commission <br />Meeti g of August 18, 1972. Advertisement appeared in <br />The S uth Bend Tribune October 9 and 16; and in the <br />Tri -C unty News on October 13 and 20, 1972. Bid open- <br />ing was November 8, 1972, at 11:00 A.M., E.S.T., with <br />four 4) firms submitting bids out of ten (10) receiving <br />bid documents.
