Basically, the letter is responsive as <br />to how he feels about the Commission and the <br />program, and appreciates the Commission's support <br />throughout his tenure. It takes everyone in a <br />community to make it work. "The future of this <br />community is so bright, I think it is just tre- <br />mendous." <br />He said he will be in the area and is willing to <br />work with the Redevelopment Commission and staff <br />as long as necessary. <br />iggins made the motion that the Commission accepts Mr. <br />is resignation, with regret, and also the Commission <br />ciates the quality of leadership Mr. Lloyd S. His knowledge of planning, <br />eering, administration and his working with the staff <br />ust been phenomenal. We will miss him, and I feel with <br />omentum we have going, we can probably see the end ap- <br />hing- -not immediately - -but maybe within the next year <br />There is very little property left downtown, except a parcel <br />here and there that is not sold, optioned or spoken for. <br />There are some people in the area who have had considerable <br />vision. <br />The Chair said it is reassuring to know that Mr. Taylor will <br />be in the area, as we will be leaning on his shoulder I be- <br />lieve. The format of urban renewal is channeling into the <br />Community Development Program and new laws are being passed <br />which will change urban renewal. Much of urban renewal will <br />11 <br />
