5. OLD BUSINESS <br />a. Disposition Parcel No. 4 -30A: This item had been ADVERTISING APPROVED <br />tabled from the August 4, 1972 Commission meeting. FOR DISPOSITION PARCEL <br />NO. 4 -30A, MINIMUM BID <br />Commission authorization was now requested to advertise PRICE AND REHABILITA- <br />Disp sition Parcel No. 4 -30A, with bid opening date of TION, R -66 <br />December 1, 1972, at 10.30 A.M., and establish minimum <br />bid price of $106,500 and rehabilitation of the building <br />at an estimated cost of $126,500 in the Downtown Urban <br />Renewal Project, R -66. <br />This is the former Hardy Shoes and House of Fabrics, on <br />the East side of Michigan Street, North of Office Engin- <br />eers. We have a developer interested in 47.5 feet on <br />Michigan Street with a depth of 165 feet, or approxi- <br />mately 7,837.5 square feet, and is interested in re- <br />habilitating the building on the property. We have had <br />two reuse appraisals made of the property, including the <br />buildings thereon. These appraisals are $109,000 and <br />$104,000, or an average of $106,500. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney, <br />authorization to advertise Disposition Parcel No. 4 -30A, <br />and establish minimum bid price of $106,500 and rehabi- <br />lit tion of the building at an estimated cost of $126,500 <br />was approved and unanimously carried. <br />6. INEW BUSINESS <br />a. Change Order No. 1 to Demolition Contract No. 25: CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 <br />This <br />is to delete the electric sign on Parcel No. 15 -1, <br />TO DEMOLITION CONTRACT <br />at the <br />Southwest corner of Jefferson Boulevard Bridge, <br />NO.25 APPROVED, R -66 <br />R-6 E, <br />from Demolition Contract No. 25 and decrease the <br />contract <br />price in amount of $400.00, with no change in <br />contract <br />time. The sign will remain under the property <br />management <br />section of this department being used for <br />urban <br />renewal. <br />The <br />Chair requested if there has been any reaction on <br />this <br />sign and Mr. Taylor said all the comments he has heard <br />haVE <br />been very favorable. <br />On notion <br />by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney, Change <br />Order <br />No. 1 to Demolition Contract No. 25, with decrease <br />in <br />ontract amount of $400.00, was approved and unani- <br />mously <br />carried. <br />b. Water Force Account for Phase II -B: Approval <br />WATER FORCE ACCOUNT <br />was <br />requested to increase the Water Force Account for <br />FOR PHASE II -B, PARCEL <br />Pha <br />a II -B, in the amount of $1,230.00, for supplying <br />NO. 13 -4, APPROVED, <br />wat <br />r to the Welfare Building, Parcel No. 13 -4, located <br />R -66 <br />at 426 South St. Joseph Street, R -66. <br />r. <br />
