6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont'd <br />On motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Rev. Williams, <br />Resolution No. 427 was adopted and unanimously carried. <br />k. Resolution No. 428: This Resolution authorizes RESOLUTION NO. 428 <br />the execution of redevelopment agreement for disposition ADOPTED, R -66 <br />of land and execution of warranty deed for transfer of <br />title for Parcel Nos. 12 -1 and 12 -42, to Ervin L. Jones, <br />in amount of $272.00, Project R -57. <br />On motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Rev. Williams, <br />Resolution No. 428 was adopted and unanimously carried. <br />1. Resolution No. 429: This Resolution authorizes <br />acquisition of property by condemnation, Parcel No. 13 -4, <br />located at 226 South St. Joseph Street, in amount of <br />$189,647.00, Project R -66. This is the old South Bend <br />Community School Corporation building, presently the <br />site of the Welfare Department. <br />Mr. Vevin J. Butler said that basically we feel it be- <br />longs to the South Bend Community School Corporation. <br />It g es back to the deed transactions in the 1830's and <br />1850's and subsequent uses of the structure. We want <br />the court to resolve it now. The condemnation route is <br />to clear title. <br />On m tion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney, <br />Resolution No. 429 was adopted and unanimously carried. <br />n. Parcel No. 17 -22 Site Plan: The Evergreen Floral <br />Shop on Western is owned by Matt and Ted Sieracki. They <br />purc ased several lots behind the Floral Shop, and now <br />want to construct a three -stall garage on the first lot <br />Nort of the alley behind the shop to house some of <br />thely equipment. The lot is located in 300 block South <br />Dund e Street and they ultimately want to build a house <br />on t is lot. <br />On mc ti on by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney, ap- <br />prov 1 of the site plan was authorized, with the stipu- <br />late n we have construction date assurance for the house. <br />Mote n unanimously carried. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 429 <br />ADOPTED, R -66 <br />PARCEL NO. 17 -22 <br />SITE PLAN APPROVED, <br />R -57 <br />n. Supplemental Rehabilitation Grant, E -3: Author- SUPPLEMENTAL REHABILI- <br />izat on was requested for one 1 supplemental rehabili- TATION GRANT APPROVED, <br />tati n grant, for the Northeast Code Enforcement Project PARCEL NO. 8 -14, E -3 <br />E -3 or Parcel No. 8 -14, located at 1017 Foster Street, <br />in atiount of $1,670.00. Previous grant was approved <br />by C mmission, in amount of $1,250.00, on May 19, 1972. <br />Mr. aylor advised in inspecting this house our staff <br />is r commending the house be covered with aluminum sid- <br />ing ecause of the condition of the present wood siding, <br />- 11 - <br />
