AUTHORIZATION, R -66 <br />Witw r property, Acquisition Parcel No. 3 -16, for author - <br />izat on to purchase from $54,500 to $55,000 - -an increase <br />of $ 00. <br />On m tion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney, the <br />abov authorization was approved. <br />p. Acquisition Parcel No. 1 -7: Mr. James Roemer ACQUISITION PARCEL <br />said that Mr. Bill Hammes, our former Commission Counsel, NO. 1 -7, PURCHASE <br />is representing this Board on Acquisition Parcel No. 1 -7, AUTHORIZATION, R -66 <br />With negotiations, it was the joint recommendation of <br />both law firms for Mr. Hammes to continue negotiations <br />with Mr. Nick Cholis, Attorney representing Emily Athens <br />and estate of James Karas. <br />Mr. Roemer advised our court - appointed appraisal figure <br />was 198,500; our latest updated appraisal figure is <br />$189500 and now have to negotiate settlement at one - <br />half point: $194,000. Commission approval is requested <br />to n gotiate for purchase of this property $194,000 to <br />be a le to go ahead with negotiations and not go to trial. <br />On m tion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney, author - <br />izat on to negotiate for purchase of Acquisition Parcel <br />No. -7 was approved for $194,000 and unanimously carried. <br />7. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />z. Business Relocation, R -66: Mr. Miller advised BUSINESS RELOCATION, <br />Mr. John A. Kotzenmacher s work consists of reviewing all R -66 <br />relocation claims under the Relocation Act as well as pro- <br />cessing new ones. His classification has been changed <br />from Business Relocation Officer to Assistant Director. <br />The Ibllowing business relocation claims were paid during <br />the month of August, per Mr. Kotzenmacher's written re- <br />port: <br />8 claims for moving expenses $ 25,801.85 <br />1 claim for alternate payment review 382.00 <br />1 claim for searching expenses 30 9.80 <br />Total $ 26,493.65 <br />t. Downtown Rehabilitation R -66: Mr. Edwin R.
