As soon as the <br />parc is are acquired, we would like to demolish the <br />structures. Mr. Taylor advised there are probably <br />sever vacant houses or more that we can demolish right <br />away and get rid of some of the problems. <br />On m tion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney and <br />unanimously carried, Demolition Contract No. 1, cover- <br />ing he above structures, was approved for advertising. <br />8. (PROGRESS REPORTS <br />a. Merry Avenue Project: The Public Hearing was <br />held on this Project in this meeting, with one spokesman <br />on behalf of the project, a declaratory resolution regard- <br />ing the Merry Avenue Project was adopted, along with Com- <br />mission approval to advertise for the demolition contract <br />for the removal of the structures, which is a total clear- <br />ance project. <br />A complete set of appraisals has been received. <br />Southeast PAC, A -10: Mr. Taylor advised he met <br />with iUD representatives on August 3rd to discuss their <br />possi ly funding under NDP and the possibility of amending <br />our present application. <br />Mr. Taylor presented a copy of the minutes of the PAC Ad- <br />visor ' Board meeting held on August 10, 1972, at 7:30 P.M., <br />with ur staff. We met again last evening at the Neighbor- <br />hood enter. The Mayor, Dr. John Kromkowski, Messrs. John <br />Roos, Lloyd S. Taylor and L. Glenn Barbe have ironed out <br />the final changes to be made in the application, and the <br />PAC has adopted a resolution recommending these changes to <br />their whole Committee.
