Commission approval requested for permission to advertise <br />bids, Contract Phase II -D, Central Downtown Renewal Project <br />liana R -66, signalization of the new streets: Mr. Taylor <br />guested permission to advertise on May 12 and May 19, 1972, <br />itract Phase II -D for signalization of new streets. Bid <br />?ning is to be on May 31, 1972 and contract awarded at the <br />ie 2nd Commission meeting. Rev. Williams moved for approval <br />advertising and Mr. Chenney seconded the motion which was <br />•ried unanimously. <br />e. Change Order No. 1, Contract 17 -B, Indiana Project R -66 <br />with Midwest Demolition Corporation: Mr. Taylor explained that <br />th s change order covers the removal of a ten thousand gallon <br />tank which was discovered under the floor of the McCaffery <br />Building during demolition of that area, for an increase of con - <br />tr ct price of $350.00 ..... no change in contract time. <br />Mr Wiggins moved for approval of this change order, seconded <br />by Rev. Williams. Motion carried unanimously. <br />f. Construction of Streets and Curb, Contract "A.!' and Side- <br />walks, Contract "B ", Model Cities Code Enforcement Area Project <br />E-5,: Mr. Taylor explained that the only bidder for this job was <br />Ri th -Riley Construction Company - their total bid was $86,462.50; <br />after discussion involving the problems related to the execution <br />of this contract, Mr. Wiggins moved to award the contract to <br />Ri th -Riley subject to the approval of an Affirmative Action <br />Policy for the use of minorities in the construction work in the <br />Model Cities area - and HUD concurrence. Rev. Williams seconded <br />tho motion and it carried unanimously. <br />g. Resolution No. 399: This is a resolution relating to <br />acquisition of property by condemnation, IND. R -57, LaSalle <br />Park Project, parcel No. 36 -20, the owner is Gerald L. Reasor, <br />for the concurred -in price of $530.00. Rev. Williams moved for <br />the adoption of Resolution 399, seconded by Mr. Chenney. Motion <br />ca ried unanimously. <br />ADVERTISING <br />APPROVED FC_ <br />BIDDING CONTRA <br />PHASE II -D, R- <br />CHANGE ORDER <br />NO. 1, CONTRAC <br />17 -B, IND R -66 <br />APPROVED <br />CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT "A" <br />AND "B" AWARDED <br />TO RIETH -RILEY <br />PROJECT E -5 <br />CODE ENFORCE. <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />399 ADOPTED, IN <br />R -57 <br />h. Site Improvements Contract, Indiana Project E -3: Request PERMISSION TO <br />Commission authorization to advertise for bids for Site Improve- ADVERTISE FOR <br />ment Contract, Indiana Project E -3 - Mr. Chenney moved to author- BIDS, SITE IM- <br />ize the Department to advertise for bids for this contract.
