Taylor, Executive Cirectcr, submitted <br />proofs of publications for the above and proof of Legal <br />Notice submitted to pros`pec'tive bidders The site is <br />for transient hotel -motel facilities. <br />Mr. Taylor asked if there were any bids: hr. Jerome B. <br />Kearns, Executive Vice- President of the St. Joseph Bank <br />and Trust Company, submitted a sealed bid made by the <br />St. Joseph Bank and Trust Company, as Trustee fora <br />land trust for purpose of proposed site to construct <br />a 160-unit motel to be o4;ned and operated by Royal Inns` <br />of America. He submitted an arti'st's rendering of the <br />Santa Ana, California, Royal Inn, which is nearly identi- <br />cal to their plans for the Motor Inn chain's South Bend <br />structure. <br />Mr. Taylor opened the bid--contents showing: The bid <br />submitted is for $2.66 per square foot, or.a total bid <br />of $420,754.01, from the St. Joseph Bark arc, Trust <br />Company, as Trustee for land trust. The bid is signed <br />by r. Jerome B. Kearns. Acccmpanyino the bid is a <br />certified check, No. 002574. - -a bark draft in amount of <br />$42,075.40,and their proposal for acquisition of Dis- <br />position Parcel No. 7 -1, being app.roxiriately 158,178.1, <br />at $2.66 per square foot, or $420,754.01.
