Mr. <br />lison stated that the qualifications for a code enforce <br />it grant or loan are set forth in the Housing and Urban <br />felopment guidelines. The primary factor regarding the <br />ant is the income of the family. If the annual income <br />less than $3,000.00, they automatically qualify for <br />maximum grant of $3,500.00. If their eligible hous- <br />I expense exceeds 25% of their income, they also qualify <br />° a grant. There are other factors, such as certain <br />,dship cases, that may also qualify a family for a <br />int. After the house is inspected and certain improve - <br />its are necessary to bring the house up to standard, the <br />ier selects three contractors and we have them bid on <br />rehabilitation work. The lowest and best bid is then <br />lected with the home owners approval. If the cost of <br />rehabilitation exceeds the $3,500.00 maximum grant, <br />SIX (6) REHABILITA- <br />TION GRANTS APPROVED, <br />PARCEL NOS. 19 -9, <br />20 -22, 21 -7, 22 -17, <br />30 -13 & 32 -4, E -3 <br />
