Pre- Construction, <br />Employment Opportunity, Conference was held with <br />ntractors', subcontractors, and HUD EEO Officer, <br />ank Longoria and Wage Compliance Representatives, <br />arie Frazier and Miss Nancy'`Jozsa, under date <br />uary 14, 1972. <br />The c ntractors did not use the South Bend Hometown <br />Plan ut they submitted their own Affirmative Action <br />Progr ms.- All the necessary statutory meetings have <br />been ield. <br />A dis ussion followed on the Hometown Plan with the <br />build ng trades and the telegram directed to Mayor <br />Jerry J. Miller from HUD. <br />. Demolition Contract No 24: Authorization to ADVERTISING AUTHORIZED <br />adver ise for Demolition Contract No. 24, for the de- FOR DEMOLITION CONTRACT <br />molit on of the Family Book Store, located at 124 South NO. 24, R -66 <br />Michi an Street, Parcel No. 8 -10, R -66, was requested. <br />Mr. Taylor said this is of a unique nature - -we are ac- <br />quiri g the building, but not the land. We will de- <br />molish the building and the owner will rebuild on that <br />site. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney, per- <br />mission to advertise Demolition Contract No. 24 was <br />authorized, and unanimously carried. <br />. The sketch shows a 26.2' area on one <br />side the other 28.0'. <br />Mr. M dison said under the Industrialized Housing <br />Conce t these homes meet satisfaction of the engineers <br />and a e structurally sound. <br />On mo ion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney, <br />the p ans as submitted, and noted above, were approved <br />and u animously carried. <br />.
