Re meeting in Mayor's PLAN WITH UNION <br />Office on February 2, 1972, in which HUD staff states AND CONTRACTORS <br />that HUD funds relating to specific programs would be <br />stopp d until the City submits an acceptable Affirma- <br />tive ction Plan. -Also reiterated at the meeting with <br />union and contractors on February 3. <br />Statec are the conditions which apply to funding of <br />HUD p ograms in the South Bend area. HUD will insist <br />that re- Construction Conferences precede conveyance <br />of title by the LPA and any private developer in the <br />case cf any and all currently approved and on -going <br />coast uction projects. <br />In PU lic Housing, no new construction will start <br />until an Affirmative Action Plan is accepted. Multi- <br />famil3 subsidized housing, no new applications will <br />be ap roved and no currently approved applications <br />will rroceed to construction.
