LEGAL COUNSEL <br />a Mr. Charles W. Roemer Appointed Commission Legal <br />Counsel: The appointment was in the Annual Organization- <br />a _Meeting few minutes prior. Mr.Roemer said he will <br />maintain continuity and smooth transition, and will con - <br />tinue the job Mr. Hammerschmidt has done. "In no way <br />will spare any time to do the job properly. I will <br />utili a Messrs. Hammerschmidt and Hammes and will see <br />that ou are satisfied. I guarantee that." In reference <br />to Pr sident Helmen's statement that the position is very <br />time onsuming, Mr. Roemer replied. he realizes.that <br />and i willing to devote the time necessary, and also <br />that here will be no duplication of expense on legal <br />fees. <br />The Commission asked how this change affects Mr. Hammer <br />schmi is contract? Mr. Hammerschmidt said his contract <br />continues on until he finishes the work that Mr. Roemer <br />feels can be most efficiently completed by his firm. Mr. <br />Hammerschmidt felt there will be no problem and that the <br />transition will be smooth, and will require the coordina- <br />tion f both counselors. <br />b. Commemoration of Service: Mr. Wiggins recommended <br />a motion be made that the consensus of the Commission, is <br />that Mr. Bruce C. Hammerschmidt be congratulated for the <br />service he has rendered as our Counsel with thanks from <br />this Commission.
