Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the <br />Clerk send a letter to the petitioner recommending approval of the request for vacation, subject to <br />Engineering's comments. She noted she would also like to see that the <br />signs are placed correctly and in accordance with the way it's been done in the past. Ms. Roos <br />stated if there are curb cuts for parking that could be restricted on one side of the street, she <br />would like to see the other side of the street left for use as a travel lane only. Mr. Gilot stated he <br />is concerned that since this is a new subdivision and there are a lot of vacant lots, there could be <br />potential problems with cars parking on the lots. Ms. Roos suggested she would like to talk to the <br />petitioners and see if they would be satisfied with barricades placed on all but one street, so the <br />two existing residents can get through. Mr. Neal noted that would be consistent with the request. <br />Ms. Roos questioned Mr. Todd Skwarcan, Fire Department, if the Fire Department could get <br />through if road blocks were put up as stated. Mr. Skwarcan stated the fire trucks could get <br />through.
