David Hab'and nest in ste t; <br />representing the Dainty Maid Bake Shop, stated the <br />only solution for customer access to the rear of the <br />shops an buildings for pick up and drop off to offset <br />the closing of Michigan Street for the Mall is to have <br />an acces to some form of vehicular traffic on Michigan <br />Street. <br />Widened zlleys will give customer access to rear of <br />shops anc buildings and enable a flow of vehicular <br />traffic ior puck up and drop offto offset the closing <br />of Michi an Street for the Mall. However, the alley <br />behind de Commerce Building with Ehninger Florist, <br />That Bee Place, and Carson:`s Shoes; Dainty Maid with <br />Beauteri ; Francis Shop and Robertson's -- because of the <br />parking garages--cannot be widened, and the alley is <br />stifled because of the large volume of truck traffic <br />discharging deliveries all day long. <br />c.
