<br />1 Arborist License Applications <br />The following license application was presented for approval by the Board: <br />a. 4 Seasons Tree Services. LLC <br />b. B and B Floral Adventures <br />c. Custom & Moore Tree Experts, Inc. <br />d. Leonard’s Landscape & Tree <br />e. Michiana Arbor Supply <br />f. TLC Tree Removal, Inc. <br />g. West Landscape, LLC <br /> Mr. Mullins made a motion to accept the renewals of the Arborist Licenses and Dr. Kelly <br /> seconded the motion. It was passed <br />2. Requests for Use of Parks- Betsy Harriman <br /> Ms. Harriman requested the Board approve the following requests: <br />a. Seitz Park- 6/21/08- Stayin’ Afloat, Suicide Prevention Event <br />b. Howard Park- 4/27/08- Worker’s Memorial Ceremony <br /> She stated that both were returning events and are aware of the insurance requirements. <br /> She recommended approval of the requests. <br /> Dr. Kelly made the motion to approve the above requests and it was seconded by Mr. <br /> Mullins. The motion was approved. <br /> <br />3.Request to Approve 2008 Golf Course Rates- Randy Nowacki <br />Mr. Nowacki and Mr. Mannen presented the 2008 golf fees to the Board. There are <br />several new types of passes and greens fees options for 2008 (see attached). <br />Several individuals spoke in favor of and opposed to the fees. <br />Dr. Kelly made a motion to approve the 2008 golf fees as presented. Mr. Mullins <br />seconded the motion and it was passed. <br /> <br />4.Request to Approve Easement in Pulaski Park by AEP- Director St. Clair <br />Director St. Clair presented a request by AEP to grant an easement in Pulaski Park for an <br />electrical line that runs through a small portion of the park. It will not interfere with any <br />future plans or construction and is not a safety hazard within the park. <br />Mr. Mullins made a motion to approve the easement in Pulaski Park. Dr. Kelly seconded <br />the motion and it was passed. <br /> <br />5.Request to Consider Cell Tower Installation- Director St. Clair <br />Director St. Clair explained that he and other staff met with representatives from Charles <br />S. Hayes, Inc. regarding the installation of a cell phone tower on the southwest side of <br />Rum Village Park. Ms. Carrie Wallace of Charles S. Hayes, Inc. explained that they felt <br />the area would fulfill the need for a wireless company that is looking in the area for a <br />location to get greater coverage on that side of town. It would be near the existing <br />storage area. It would be approximately 85’ x85’, surrounded by a 6’ black coated chain <br />link fence. The tower would be self supporting and 195’ tall. It could support five <br />wireless carriers. Landscaping would be provided. <br />Director St. Clair explained that this is in the preliminary stages and staff will be working <br />with the City legal department and Charles S. Hayes, Inc. to put together a lease <br />agreement that addresses the financial side as well as any other concerns. At that time <br />they will come back to the Board for their approval. <br /> <br /> <br />- - 2 - - <br /> <br /> <br />
