The Financial Advisors are <br />prese tly processing 35 applicants for loans <br />and /o grants, comprising'18 loans, 8 grants, 4 <br />combinations and 5 undetermined. <br />J. Southeast Neighborhood: Mr. Ashenfelter <br />advis d the Advisory PAC Committee had another meet- <br />ing ) ne 23rd, and though not complacent, they are <br />not a unhappy as might be assumed. <br />Rev. 4illiams asked if Mr: Ashenfelter believed <br />the C mmittee felt they have a pretty fair under- <br />standing of what the problems are and what they <br />have )een, the roll of the different programs, and <br />if th y feel we are on their side? Mr. Ashenfelter <br />advis d that he believed they did_and felt we have <br />a goo relationship. <br />Project Discussion: Mr. Helmen suggested <br />in the next few weeks, Mr. Ashenfelter, get together <br />with Mr. Bob L. Wade, our new Commissioner, and dis- <br />cuss the problems, etc. ', in--urban renewal, to'enable <br />him to be familiar with the projects. Mr. Wertheimer <br />reque ted that he and Mr. James F. Peacock also be <br />inclu ed in this discussion. <br />8. NEW COMMISSIONER <br />President Helmen said he wanted to extend the <br />Commission's appreciation on how happy they are that <br />the Trustees selected Mr. Bob -L. Wade as Mr. Dean J. <br />Wilhe m's successor, which 1"eft a vacancy on the Com- <br />mission. "I am sure Mr. Wade's advice and counsel <br />on this Board'will be very,'very valuable. On be- <br />half of myself and others, I am very happy about it." <br />9. NEXT COMMISSION MEETING " <br />The next Regular Meeting of the Redevelopment <br />Commission will be at 10:30 A.M., Friday; Ju.ly_16,. <br />1971, in the Office of the'Department'of Redevelop- <br />ment. <br />10.
