The Ind ana State Legislature; passed following three House Bills, ligned by the Governor: House Bill 1318: Reduction of appraisers from three to two and the retirement plan was approved for L PA. House Bill 1832: A State Uniform Relocation and.Acquisi- tion Act, making relocation requirements mandatory on any political subdivision of State of Indiana. House Bill 122: An enlargement of existing Statutes for assistance in financing; e.g. parking garages, alls and other improvement projects. g, Project Rehabilitation Meeting: A conference was held at the Model Office, in South Bend, on April 27, 1971, explaining the objectives and procedures of the FAA-sponsored Project Rehabilitation Program. It is HUD's belief that the housing needs of South Bend can better be satisfied through utilization of other HUD FHA programs. h. Gar, Agreement: Miss Dianne;Semingson, our HUD representative, discussed the concept of the Gary Agreement with Mr. Barbe in Chicago on April 29, 1971. The Agreement would, ii effect; say that when the City submits an appli- cation f r a 5 -year program that HUD would fund these programs on an an ual basis provided the City -lived up to its prior negotiat d requirements.
