7. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />a. Critical Path 'for Overall Operations: Mr, Ashen- CRITICAL PATE{ FOR <br />felter said they will interview three or four companies OVERALL OPERATIONS, <br />dealing in perk or critical path operations. Upon R -66 <br />interviewing them all, we will arrive at a recommenda- <br />tion for Commission action. <br />b. Urban Design Review Committee Meeting: Mr. Ashen- URBAN DESIGN REVIEW <br />felter advised the Urban Design Review Committee met in `a COMMITTEE R -66 <br />meeting yesterday, April 1st, at which time procedures <br />and standards for rehabilitation work were decided upon. <br />Letters will be mailed within the next two weeks to the <br />tenant and /or landlords, so they will be aware of the <br />proced res. <br />c. R -57 Contractors for Muck Property: Fifteen (15) R -57 CONTRACTORS <br />contra tors have indicated interest and received plans to <br />build iouses on the lots if they can. They have received <br />maps f om us designating the buildable and unbuildable lots <br />and ar aware of the soil conditions and the depth of the <br />muck. The plans for the homes will be submitted to us <br />for ap roval. The bid opening will be on April 20th. <br />d. <br />Sample of <br />Tartan: The Minnesota <br />Mining will pave <br />R -66 AREA <br />TO SOUTH <br />a sample <br />area of <br />the East -West alley in <br />three colors and <br />OF PARKING <br />STRUCTURE <br />let tha <br />material <br />weather. The City is <br />also interested <br />ON MAIN & <br />COLFAX <br />in pav ng the alley from the North -South alley to Michigan <br />Street <br />The Ch it suggested our staff go-to Mr., Lloyd Taylor, City <br />Engine r, and have the material placed where traffic is <br />much h avier, cigarettes dropped, etc. This decision will <br />be up o the Board of Works. The consensus of the Com- <br />missioi is to get a heavier traffic spot to have a fairer <br />test oi the product. <br />e. Downtown Negotiations: ..Mr. Hubert M. Weaver, <br />Downtown Negotiator, advised.the total number of parcels <br />optioned to date is 128, at a purchase price of <br />$5,726,,389.00. The total number of parcels on which <br />title has been taken is 107, at a cost of $4,816,992.00. <br />He advised the ones in condemnation are moving also.
