The Library would like <br />this Department to'waive the -time deadline for redevelopment <br />of pro ect land in favor of another governmental unit: The <br />parcel would be landscaped until ready for their use. Amendment to Minutes of September 18, 1970: On a <br />motion.by Mr. Helmen, seconded by Mr. Wiggins and unani- <br />mously carried by all Commission members, the minutes of -- <br />Septem er 18, 1970,.Regular Meeting of the Redevelopment <br />Commission, were amended to include Parcel 18 -12 under No. <br />6, New Business, for a Certificate of Completion in the <br />R -57 P oject. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />MINUTES AMENDED <br />a. Decals for City Automobiles Several styles of DECALS FOR CITY - <br />decals were displayed and priced for placing on all. Redevelop- OWNED AUTOMOBILES <br />ment Department cars. The Redevelopment Commission gave ap <br />proval of motion by Mr. Wiggins and seconded by Rev. Wi'11'iams <br />directing the Executive Director to purchase a one- color'lettered <br />decal to suit our needs: <br />b. Approval for Awarding Demolition Contract 4A and 4B in AWARD OF DEMOLITION <br />the R-66 Project: Bids.were taken on October 20,- 1970.for CONTRACT 4A AND 4B, <br />Demolition Contract'4A and 4B which involve -six parcels-in---- IND. R -66 <br />the Downtown Project. Nine bids were received altogether. <br />Midwest Demolition Corporation was the apparent low bidder <br />on the contract. On legal counsel authority, said low bidder <br />had to e disqualified for arriving four to five minutes af- <br />ter beginning of bid opening. The next apparent low bidder was <br />Woodruff & Sons, Inc. for Contract 4A and Warner Wrecking Company/ <br />for Contract 4B with a contract price of $19,200 and $19,300 <br />respectively, for a contract total of $38,500. Mr. Wiggins made <br />a motio to accept the low bid of Woodruff & Sons and Warner <br />Wreckin Company which was seconded by Rev. Williams and unani- <br />mously arried. <br />-5- <br />
