Monroe Street has re- ADD PARCEL TO <br />queste ,the Commission in a letter dated November 3, 1970 ACQUISITION LIST, <br />to add said property to the Acquisition List for the Central IND. R -66 <br />Downtown Project, Ind. R -66. This property, Parcel 28 -12, <br />was originally planned for acquisition but deleted when it <br />was fotind to be standard. He is unable to sell and desires <br />to move from town, while the property could be added to the <br />Project. On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Rev. Williams <br />this request for acquisition was approved. <br />b Future Use of United States Post Office Building: FUTURE USE OF OLD <br />In a l tter dated October 23, 1970, the Downtown South Bend POST OFFICE SITE, <br />Council suggested the possibilities to the General Services IND. R -66 <br />Administration for the use of our current Post Office Building <br />which will be vacated with the completion of their new facility <br />in the Ind. R -66 Project. The most favorable suggestion would <br />be that of rehabilitation for use of all Federal Agency Offices. <br />c Assistance to Model Cities Agency for Parks -in -the PARKS -IN -THE CITIES <br />Cities Application: This letter dated November 2, 1970 appri- APPLICATION <br />sed th s Department of the status of the Model Cities Parks - <br />In -The Cities Application for the purpose of our beginning-re- <br />location in the park area. The Redevelopment Commission felt that <br />a cont act must be entered into before our staff services 'could <br />be uti ized. Since Model Cities budget authority has now been <br />approp fated, our legal counsel will be contacting their counsel <br />for th preparation of this contractual agreement. <br />d Resignation of John Tidwell from City -Wide Relocation STAFF MEMBER <br />Staff: On October 29, 1970 Mr. John H. Tidwell, a member of RESTGNATION <br />the City-Wide Relocation Staff submitted his resignation to <br />accept a position with the Model Cities Agency. On motion by <br />Mr. Wi gins, seconded by Rev. Williams, Mr. Tidwell's resigna- <br />tion w s accepted and placed on file with regrets. <br />e Move of Woodworth Storage & Transfer, Inc.: In a CLAIM FOR RE- <br />letter dated October 27, 1970, the Woodworth Storage & Trans - LOCATION PAY - <br />fer Company, Inc., Parcel 23 -12 in the R -66 Project, requested MENT <br />immediate processing of their relocation claim. Due to the <br />nature of said business, Woodworth performed their own move, <br />but it was not categorized as a self move because contents <br />were not their own, but only in their legal custody, as a <br />-4- <br />
