7. <br />ORTS (Cont'd <br />d. Cit -Wi'de Relocation: Rev. Kirk advised <br />two families have been relocated City -wide. <br />e. PAC Meeting: Mr. Ashenfelter said they <br />met again Wednesday evening, the 16th, and have been <br />showing progress. The Advisory Committee will get <br />together with�the whole committee within two weeks. <br />They ha' a no serious 'problems. <br />Preside t Wilhelm said the preliminary plans for <br />the Southeast area will be prepared and submitted to <br />HUD for approval and financing. This is the formu- <br />lating stage. He said this is the first time we <br />have had areal good organization and that Rev. <br />Williams has been "the spark plug-in getting people <br />together, establishing subcommittees, report and <br />having the residents understand wha d i.s proposed." <br />Mr. Ash nfelter stated they now have maps of land - <br />use and appraisals of the property conditions. <br />Planning has not been started. <br />8.''. V .ISIfeRS <br />President Wilhelm introduced the two students <br />from the University of Notre Dame attending this <br />meeting: <br />Mr. James Foster, a Senior, and Mr. Witold <br />Skwiercz nski, a Junior - -both majoring in Govern- <br />ment. Mr. Foster said Mr. Barbe had previously <br />given them a good outline of the program. <br />9. QUESLTIONS AND ANSWERS <br />Mrs. Janet S. Allen asked when we are going to <br />start boarding-up doorways. The ordinance has been <br />passed several weeks ago. People are throwing trash <br />in several of the doorways. In reference to the <br />specific firms, President Wilhelm stated A. F. Smith <br />is boarding up their doorway. The Riley Hotel has <br />no depth in entry. The Western Avenue Clothing Store <br />is now acquired; however, we will not board this up <br />until the Building Commissioner recommends it. Mrs. <br />Allen said she will send a recommendation to them. <br />Mrs. Janet S. Allen asked the status on the <br />Granada heater?
