Mr. Barbe stated that under HUD regulations a credit report is required on a developer or the owner of the property to be re- habilitated to obtain financial responsibility for rehabilitation or disposition of the property. This is yearly fee and provides 100 reports. This contract was approved May 159 1970, on R -66. Mrs. Janet Allen asked what the delay was on R liance Pharmacy? .Mr. Hammerschmidt stated we aye trying to work out an option:with the owners and ave a meeting with them this afternoon. Mr. F. Jay Nimtz, Vice President, of the Board of Trustees, said that Messrs. Wilhelm,.Hammerschmidt and Bellinger attended.a Bar.Association meeting on June 30th, and that Mr. Bellinger did an excellent job in explaining the Downtown Program. Mr. Nimtz said that from now on he was sure-we would not have any difficulties from the lawyers and he believed we have done a good.job.. President Wilhelm said thOSE were very kind words. Mr. Helmen inquired on rehabilitation work, as to w o approves the work to be done - painting in particular whether it is up to the contractor or the owners? Mr. Barbe said the selection is up to the owners, with staff approval. Mr. Helmen said his reason for asking is that a paint firm is put- ting word out that their paint is approved by Urbar Renewal. As it may be misrepresentation of the raint, President Wilhelm directed Commission Legal Counsel to call the firm. 11.
