NEWT <br />d. <br />izes th <br />rence i <br />Renewal <br />6 -7, 12 <br />motion <br />tion No <br />BUSINESS (Cont`d <br />Resolution No. 292: This Resolution author <br />filing of HUD Form 6144,'Request for Concur <br />Acquisition Prices, in the LaSalle Park Urban <br />Project, R -57, for Parcel Nos.'1 -14, 5 -14, 6 -2, <br />9, 22 -49, 23 -1, 41 -20, 42 -6, and 45 -10. On <br />y Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney, Resolu- <br />292 was approved and unanimously carried. <br />e. Investment of Funds: Authorization was re- <br />quested for the investment of funds, in the amount of <br />Five Hu dred Thousand ($500,000.00) Dollars, for three <br />months, in the Central Downtown Urban Renewal Project, <br />R -66. Ar. Ebel stated that these are proceeds from <br />the first temporary loan, which has been paid off. <br />Another $500,000.00 will be received next month. On <br />motion y Mr. Helmen, seconded by Mr. Wiggins, the <br />investment of funds in the above - stated amount was <br />authori ed unanimously. <br />f. NAHRO State Chapter Meeting: Authorization <br />was req ested for approval for staff to attend the <br />NAHRO State Chapter Meeting, in Indianapolis, April <br />16 and 17, 1970. On motion by'Mr. Chenney, seconded <br />by Mr. ielmen, two members of the staff were author- <br />ized to attend this meeting. Motion was unanimously <br />carried. <br />7. PRO RESS REPORTS <br />a. Downtown Negotiations: Mr. Ebel stated <br />that, t6--date, 30 option agreements have been signed, <br />totalling $1,029,000. We have acquired title to <br />eleven ieces of property for $399,000. Mr, Hubert <br />M. Weaver said he and his associates are making good <br />progress. Some cases are a little slow and he has a <br />few cases where the owners are not happy with the <br />prices ffered; however, he is trying to persuade <br />them th t it is a fair price. There will be some <br />condemn tion. <br />Mr. Hel en said on the post - office site- -which is <br />the No. 1 project as far as timing is concerned- - <br />that we should be particularly anxious to get that <br />cleaned up to start demolition, if we are to start <br />buildin around the first of the year.
