H mmerschmidt, Commission Legal Counsel, re- <br />quested the Commission to select, by consent, one <br />of t e insurance firms and obtain a final plan. <br />The insurance firms who have submitted proposals <br />are <br />1) The Prudential Insurance Co. of America <br />2) Aetna Life & Casualty <br />3) Washington National Life <br />4) Metropolitan Life.Insurance Co. <br />Rev. Williams suggested two firms be selected to <br />obtain final pension plans, in lieu of one firm <br />suggested, and this met with unanimous approval by <br />all Commissioners. <br />Mr. ielmen and Rev. Williams stated, in their <br />expe ience working with insurance companies, the <br />cont ibutions remain identical; however, the <br />actu 1 benefits the employee receives are not <br />iden ical, but vary greatly. Mr. Helmen stated <br />his nl y concern is to get the best plan available <br />for ihe least amount of contribution. <br />A pr posal was made to select a Committee of two <br />Commissioners to work with the staff and obtain <br />two final pension plans. The two Commissioners <br />nominated were Mr. Helmen and Rev. Williams, as <br />Mr. lammerschmidt felt these two Commissioners <br />are the most qualified and experienced in this <br />field. Mr. Helmen and Rev. Williams agreed to <br />serve in'an advisory capacity for the pension <br />plan. Mr. Helmen suggested Lincoln National <br />Life Insurance be contacted for their proposal. <br />J. Disposition Parcel No ' ; 17-28: Authoriza- <br />tion was requeste or Commission approval of <br />Disp sition Parcel No.' 17 -28, the quit -claim deed <br />to b conveyed to Charles E. Stafford.
