PROGRESS REPORTS <br />Mr. Bellinger apprised the Commission that <br />app ximately 25 structures have been demolished in <br />the ndustrial Expansion Project, R -56. <br />President Wiggins asked how we are in terms <br />of relocating these people. Mr. Bellinger stated it <br />is nearing completion. He stated he felt the staff <br />has no problems of any unusual nature. One family <br />was relocated into the 221(h) Program last week. <br />A discussion followed on the 221(h) program and the <br />possibility of an excellent source of relocation <br />hous ng. It is limited in scope as it only applies <br />to s les housing, with financing of 3 %. Discussion <br />also followed on the speculative builders in the <br />LaSalle Park area and the homes sold. <br />t. Junk Automobiles: Mr. Bellinger stated <br />about six automo i es have been removed from the <br />LaSalle Park Urban Renewal Project, R -57. The Com- <br />mission was apprised that junk cars located on the <br />Department's property presented no removal problems; <br />if or private property, the staff must go through <br />legal channels.
