The "ayes" were una I ni,mo.us Vall Com- <br />missione.rs for the authorizatildn �to acquire"- this`.. <br />property. <br />f. <br />Grants: Mr. Bellinger apprised the Com- <br />-THREE (3) GRANTS <br />mission <br />that HUD has approved additional funds for <br />AUTHORIZED, PARCEL <br />continuing <br />the 115 Grant Program. 'There are two <br />25-11, 29-19 &,21-30, <br />basic reasons <br />for this increase: <br />LASALLE PARK URBAN <br />RENEWAL PROJECT, R-57 <br />1) The origina.1' estimate for the rese'r- <br />va <br />ion of funds was based. ion a maxi.idum i.ndi - <br />vi <br />ual grant of $1,500', but was increased <br />la <br />t summer to $3,000. Thus, . the original <br />re <br />ervation of funds is insufficient. <br />2) There are more homes eligible for <br />rehabilitation <br />grants than, had.earlier been <br />anticipated. <br />Authorization <br />is requested for three grants in the <br />LaSalle <br />Park Urban Renewal Project, R-57 on Parcels <br />as follows: <br />#25-11, #29-19 and-#21.-30. <br />On motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr.- Helmen <br />the above-listed grants were authorized. 'The <br />"ayes" by the Commission were unanimous for ap- <br />proval. <br />g. Regional Seminar on Urban Renewal and <br />Housing: This is the same Seminar previously capi- <br />proved by the Commistivon, which had been scheduled <br />for February 27 and 28, 1969, in Atlanta, Georgia <br />for interested Commission and staff to attend. This <br />Seminar-will be held in Chicago,'Illi,nois-1 on March <br />13 and '14, 1969. Since no one was able to attend the <br />Atlanta session, we now havetihe' y ,same opportunit I to. <br />attend the Program in Chicago. This is a worthwhile <br />program and includes a detailed presentation on the <br />new Nei(hborhood Development Program..
