Resolution No. 241: This Resolution is to <br />authorize entering into a contract with the Greater <br />South B nd Housing Corporation to sell to said Corpora- <br />tion certain real estate located in the LaSalle Park <br />Project, R -57. The Greater South Bend Housing Corporation <br />has assigned this contract to LaSalle Park Homes, Inc. <br />This Resolution would permit us to assign properties to <br />LaSalle Park Homes, Inc., a parent group to the South <br />Bend Ho sing Corporation. On motion by Mr. Kompar, <br />seconded by Mr. Helmen, Resolution No._241 was approved- - <br />subject to legal counsel approval -and review. The "ayes" <br />were unanimous in approval. <br />c. Addendum No. 1, Contract for Professional <br />Service 3. between the Citv of South Bend Dept. of <br />Redevel ment and Bruce C. Hammerschmidt dated Octo- <br />ber 24 1968: This Addendum will provide legal counsel <br />for services in the event the pending suite against the <br />R -66 Pr ject requires extensive court action. Mr. Ham - <br />merschm'dt, -the Commission legal counsel for all work <br />involved in the subject suite, will be paid standard <br />fees ap roved by the St. Joseph County Bar Association. <br />Mrs. Al en asked what the regular fee was for our legal <br />counsel and President Wiggins stated Mr. Hammerschmidt <br />receive a retainer fee of $200 per month. On motion <br />by Mr. ompar, seconded by Mr. Helmen, Addendum No. 1 <br />was app oved. "Ayes" were unanimous. <br />d.. Change Order No. 5, Contract-"C", McIntyre <br />Jones C nstruction Co. Three Retaining Walls in La- <br />Salle Park Urban Renewal Protect R -57: This change <br />order is for three retaining walls and sidewalks, as <br />the re- stablished grade upon completion of certain <br />site improvement work is such that it cannot be seeded <br />due to errosion. The total cost of the Change Order <br />is: $ ,990.00. On motion by Mr. Helmen, seconded by <br />Mr. Kom ar, Change Order No. 5, Contract "C ", was approved <br />in the mount of $1,990.00. <br />e. Addition to Change Order No. 5, Contract "D ", <br />E. R. Kaapp & Sons Inc. Water Curb Stops, LaSalle Park <br />Urban R newal Protect R -57: Additional estimate of <br />29 curb boxes require replacement and /or adjustment to <br />proper grade requiring a revision to Change Order No. <br />5, on labor, material and equipment basis at $25.00 each, <br />or a total of $725.00. Contract "D" will be increased <br />by $725.00 to provide for the correction of these 29 <br />stop bo es that were not identified until the initial <br />work was almost completed. Motion was entertained for <br />approval by Mr. Kompar, seconded by Mr. Helmen.
